Custom Bottling & Filtering Pledges to Match All Donations Up to $5,000

Winemakers Loft CourtyardPROSSER, Wash., – March 25, 2020 – The 2020 Pre-Barrel Bash presented by the Winemakers Loft in Prosser, a benefit for Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care, announces that all four wineries housed in the Winemakers Loft winery and tasting room collective will proceed with the pre-planned event on April 18, 2020 by moving forward with a virtual platform in order to be compliant with all health and safety precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Title Sponsorship of the 2020 event is with multi-year event supporter, Custom Bottling & Filtering, a mobile bottling company based in Benton City, Washington. Bill Hamlin, owner of Custom Bottling & Filtering, will match donations made to Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care during the Pre-Barrel Bash virtual event up to $5,000, bolstering the event’s ability to significantly support Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care, a non-profit agency that provides compassionate and comprehensive medical and emotional care for adults and children facing life-altering or life-threatening illnesses throughout Yakima County and Benton County.

The 2020 Pre-Barrel Bash presented by the Winemakers Loft is an annual event held at the Winemakers Loft in the heart of Washington wine country in Prosser, Washington. Titled the “Winemakers Loft Food Truck Rally” in prior years, the 2020 Pre-Barrel Bash aimed to showcase premium wine production, a day of live music and fresh, local and regional food truck fare on Saturday, April 18 at the Winemakers Loft winery and tasting room collective in Prosser. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pre-Barrel Bash has transitioned to an online wine event that attendees access via a Zoom conferencing link provided upon registering for the event at HeartlinksHospice.org.

Free of charge to attend from the comforts of one’s own home, the 120 minute online event will include a virtual stroll through WA wine country and storytelling by Coyote Canyon Winery, Martinez & Martinez Wines, McKinley Springs Winery, and Ginkgo Forest Winery.

“The virtual edition of the Pre-Barrel Bash presented by the Winemakers Loft represents the collective attitude toward continuing to promote the excellence of the Washington wine industry as well as benefiting the necessary services that Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care provides 365 days a year. All four wineries housed in the Winemakers Loft are growers/producers who support each other as well as Heartlinks Hospice” said Kari Saccomanno, manager of the Winemakers Loft winery and tasting room collective.

The virtual edition of the 2020 Pre-Barrel Bash is on Saturday, April 18 from 3PM–5PM. To attend the virtual edition of the Pre-Barrel Bash presented by the Winemakers Loft from the comforts of one’s own home, attendees must sign up in advance:

Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care Executive Director, Shelby Moore, will aid as emcee of the online event. A chat bar during the event will be turned on for all attendees to participate in – questions and comments are encouraged!

Tickets to attend the virtual wine event are $0. Donations made to Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care during the live event on Saturday, April 18, 2020 will be matched up to $5,000 by Custom Bottling & Filtering, allowing for up to $10,000 to be raised on behalf of Heartlinks in two, short hours.
