The annual list recognizes the best of the best under 40 in the wine, spirits and beer industry
Glen Ellen, Calif. – August 22, 2019 – Wine Enthusiast Magazine announced today that Jamie Benziger, winemaker at Imagery Estate Winery and member of the celebrated Benziger wine family, has been named to the publication’s list of 40 under 40 tastemakers for 2019. Each year, the editors of Wine Enthusiast Magazine profile individual trailblazers, who are shaping the future of wine, beer, cider and spirits in America.
Imagery Estate Winery was founded in Sonoma in the mid 1980’s by Joe Benziger, and is known for showcasing esoteric varietals from Sonoma County. In 2017, Jamie Benziger took over winemaking at Imagery and continues to push the Sonoma winery forward with the creation of a new, nationally available collection of wines that take a traditional varietal and add a twist of a less familiar one in a harmonious and exciting way. The label design for the new tier features an iconic paint drip, both a tie to the winery name and a salutation to Imagery’s tasting room and wine club wines that feature works of art on their labels. Jamie also leads Imagery Estate Winery in engaging millennial consumers by connecting technology with art and wine through Imagery’s new augmented reality app.
