(August 15, 2019; Calistoga, California)— Collabria Care, Napa Valley’s hospice and Alzheimer’s resource center, is excited to present its 13th annual benefit gala at Castello di Amorosa on Friday, September 6th with Rich and Leslie Frank of Frank Family Vineyards as this year’s honorary chairs. The gala will feature Napa Valley’s fine cuisine and exceptional wines in celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary while tapping into Rich and Leslie’s Hollywood background with the theme “Hollywood & Vine: Celebrating the Golden Age.”

More than 200 community members will attend the gala, a can’t miss hallmark of Napa Valley’s fall social season. The evening’s alfresco dining within the castle walls is an experience to remember, culminating in the much-anticipated live auction of 16-18 premium lots of rare wines, fabulous dinners and exclusive travel experiences. During the live auction, guests will be offered an opportunity to raise a paddle and “fund-a-need” in support of the vital work Collabria Care does in the community.

As part of the live auction, the Franks have donated two priceless lots:

  • A Hollywood experience featuring a two-night stay at a luxury hotel, dinner at Spago Beverly Hills and tickets to the American Film Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Awards, PLUS limited-edition large format bottles and a VIP tasting at the Frank Family tasting room in Calistoga.
  • An Oscars party hosted by Rich and Leslie Frank with 20 of your closest friends at Michael Chiarello’s Ottimo in Yountville, where he’ll do the cooking and both Frank Family and Chiarello Family Wines will flow.

“The essential services provided by the dedicated and compassionate staff and volunteers at Collabria Care are a gift to the entire Napa community,” says Leslie. “We are grateful for the caregivers who truly make a difference for patients and their families at the most delicate time in their lives. We are privileged to serve as the honorary chairs for the 2019 gala, and to play a role in ensuring others in our community can someday benefit from the many gifts of hospice care.”

The Franks join an impressive list of former honorary chairs that includes Jean-Charles Boisset, Thomas Keller, Margrit Mondavi, Beth Nickel, Dario Sattui, and two generations of both the Rombauer and the Torres families. The annual benefit gala is the single largest fundraising event the nonprofit agency holds. Gala Chair Valerie Peebles, and her volunteer committee are overseeing every detail of the event.

“Collabria Care is one of the most beloved nonprofits in Napa County, having provided end-of-life care for so many in our community. This year’s gala is unique as it celebrates this exceptional organization’s 40 years of service. While having fun in the process, we hope to exceed previous gala fundraising totals and raise a record amount to support its amazing programs not only this year but well into the future,” says Valerie.
