Georgós Greek Wine Featured at Opening Night of the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival June 5th

A Night of Wine, Food, and Cinema in Celebration of Greek Culture

Hollywood, CA, June 6, 2019 –Georgos Greek Wine was thrilled to once again be a host and sponsor at the 2019 Los Angeles Greek Film Festival,whose mission is to represent and celebrate Greek cinema, culture and a new generation of Greek filmmakers. On the opening night of the festival at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, there was a red carpet as well as The North American Premiere of MELTEM by Greek-French director Basile Doganis, starring Daphne Patakia, recognized as one of top five rising acting stars in Europe.

Following the screening in the Courtyard of the Egyptian there was a celebration of Greek Culture in the way most familiar to Georgos Wines: through food and drink. Guests were treated to delicious, clean wine from Georgos and full-flavored Greek cuisine from Good Greek Grill, Pietris Bakery, Icelandic Glacial Water and Pylos Poems.

Georgos will return as a sponsor for the CLOSING night of the Festival Sunday, June 9, for the West Coast Premiere of HER JOB by director Nikos Labot, starring Marisha Triantafyllidou and Dimitris Imellos.  The Orpheus Awards will follow the film and conclude with a reception in the Courtyard of the Egyptian featuring Good Greek Grill, Georgos Wine, Pietris Bakery, Pylos Poems, and more. Many of the celebrity guests in attendance for the opening night are expected to return to sample Georgos Greek Wines!
