Live exhibit will connect case handling, collaborative robotic palletizing, strapping solutions, stretch wrapping and autonomous material handling technologies
October 5, 2026 (Tampa, FL) — Signode, a global provider of transit packaging equipment, automation, materials, and aftermarket support solutions, will demonstrate integrated technologies for case handling, palletizing, strapping, load containment, and material handling at PACK EXPO International 2026, taking place October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago IL.

At Booth S-3100, Signode will present equipment and automation solutions that support packaging operations from case preparation and strapping solutions through pallet handling and warehouse automation. The exhibit will show how individual technologies can be configured as part of a broader end-of-line and distribution process to help manufacturers improve consistency, throughput, reliability, and long-term operational performance.
Live demonstration will feature the Octopus® Prestige™ automatic stretch wrapping machine integrated with the TP-12 strapping machines. An Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) forklift will be demonstrating how automated pallet movement can be coordinated to reduce manual touchpoints and support flow through storage and distribution. Visitors to the booth will learn how integrating AMRs with Signode’s StorFast® Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) can increase storage density, support inventory control, and connect warehouse automation with upstream and downstream packaging processes.
Visitors can also learn about the RollCycler™ film roll exchange system, exclusively for the Octopus Prestige stretch wrapping machine. This automatic, high-capacity film roll exchange solution supports high-speed, high-throughput customer operations by delivering and automatically reloading up to eight film rolls in a space-saving compact footprint to increase production up-time.
“PACK EXPO gives us an opportunity to show how packaging equipment, robotics, and material handling technologies can work together across the complete end-of-line process,” said Rick Hantke, Senior Director of Marketing and Product Management at Signode. “By integrating how cases, pallets, and packaging materials move across the complete end-of-line workflow, manufacturers can improve consistency, productivity, and reliability while establishing a scalable foundation for future automation.”
Signode will also demonstrate a Simplimatic® collaborative robotic palletizer integrated with the Little David® LDX-RC random case opener and LDX-RTB semi-automatic random case sealer and Simpli-flex® intelligent product conveyors. The demonstration will show how case opening, product handling, case sealing, and palletizing can be brought together in a flexible, semi-automated packaging workflow for operations managing changing production requirements, labor constraints, or varied case formats.
Live demonstrations will feature the new BXT Go™ battery-powered strapping hand tool along with the popular BXT4 tool line for plastic strapping. Designed for manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution environments, the new BXT Go tool is designed to support everyday strapping applications with a practical balance of performance, usability, and productivity.
Signode will also demonstrate its protective packaging solutions including dunnage bags, cargo and load securement, edge protection, and void fill, and the Engineered Solutions team will offer design services for custom protective packaging via Multi-Wall™, PDM™, and Reddi-Pac™ custom packaging materials. These capabilities are supported by application consultation, equipment and material testing, implementation, training, parts, preventive maintenance, and Packaging Plus Reliability Services aftermarket solutions that help support long-term system performance.
Together, the technologies represented at PACK EXPO reflect Signode’s broader portfolio across case packaging, robotics, stretch wrapping, strapping, protective packaging, autonomous material movement, warehouse automation, and aftermarket solutions.
