October 1, 2026 (Napa, CA) — The Napa Valley Grapegrowers will host the 2026 ROOTSTOCK Conference on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center. New this year, ROOTSTOCK will open with the inaugural State of the Valley, an annual presentation translating broader wine industry trends into what they mean for Napa Valley’s vineyards, acreage, winery partners, and agricultural community. Three trusted voices will offer a local look at where the valley stands today and what to plan for next, setting the stage for a day focused on the evolving vineyard workforce.
The 2026 ROOTSTOCK Conference then focuses on the workforce that sustains Napa Valley’s vineyards year-round, exploring how growers are adapting to a shifting labor landscape while supporting the people and practices that define quality winegrowing.
Key themes include:
- State of the Valley: A look at where Napa agriculture stands today, from vineyard acreage and property values to the regulatory landscape shaping the year ahead.
- AB 1066, One Year In: What the fully phased-in overtime law means for grower operations and farmworker pay, one year into implementation.
- Understanding H-2A: Program mechanics, housing considerations, and the differing approaches growers are taking as the program’s future in the valley evolves.
- Labor Law for Vineyard Employers: Overtime rules, compliance risks, and the legal responsibilities every vineyard employer needs to know.
ROOTSTOCK is designed for vineyard employers, grape growers, vineyard managers, and other winegrowing professionals committed to advancing Napa Valley’s viticultural excellence.
Registration: NVG Member Admission is $75.00 and General Admission is $105.00. Registration is available through November 5, 2026.
For more than 18 years, ROOTSTOCK has evolved to meet the needs of Napa Valley’s growers and industry leaders.
