September 9, 2026 (Pont d’Isѐre, France) — The 2026 harvest has just come to an end this week at Domaine Combier.
Having begun on August 20, the harvest concludes on a particularly positive note, with grapes in excellent sanitary condition and showing remarkable aromatic balance. The estate enjoyed a very successful crop, with satisfactory yields across the vineyard as a whole. The grapes remained in perfect health throughout the harvest, ensuring fruit of outstanding quality.
The grapes were harvested in Crozes-Hermitage at an ideal level of ripeness, promising wines that will be both generous and balanced. Despite repeated periods of intense heat, a number of harmless thunderstorms in the region helped the vines develop favourably. In particular, the storm on August 20 came at exactly the right time, with the rainfall playing a vital role by bringing the vineyard the freshness needed to complete ripening under the best possible conditions.
All of the estate’s vineyard parcels, particularly Le Clos des Grives and Cap Nord, performed exceptionally well. Their remarkable quality points to wines of the highest calibre for the 2026 vintage.
