July 30, 2026 — Schloss Johannisberg, the world’s first Riesling estate winery, proudly marks the 250th anniversary of its accidental discovery of Spätlese with the release of the Ex-Bibliotheca Subterranea Cuvée 100 Spätlese. Crafted from a selection of favorite vintages from 1915 to 2015, this one-of-a-kind Spätlese will be available this fall in limited quantities at 60 bottles for the US market with an SRP of $650.
Showcasing the great aging potential of the Schloss Johannisberg Spätlese, it was created to be more than just a wine but to honor the tradition and richness of Schloss Johannisberg’s perfect terroir for growing the Riesling grape variety. This expertly blended bottle captures Schloss Johannisberg’s 1,200-year history beautifully and is available beginning this fall.
