Built by a winemaker whose family has made wine for over 800 years, Solera replaces the fragmented stack of cellar, vineyard, and DTC software wineries have been forced to cobble together for two decades.
June 30, 2026 (Thousand Oaks, CA) — Solera (solera.vin), a full-lifecycle winery management platform, is now live and taking on clients globally. The company already has active wineries in California, Washington, Portugal, Spain, France, and Australia, and is opening enrollment worldwide ahead of the 2026 harvest.
Most wineries today run four or five separate tools to do one job: Innovint or vintrace for the cellar, Commerce7 or WineDirect for direct-to-consumer sales, a spreadsheet for the vineyard, and paper for the lab. None of it talks to each other. Solera is one of the few platforms that covers the entire winery lifecycle, vineyard to bottle to doorstep, in a single login, with an AI assistant built in.
“A typical winery is paying $700 or more a month for software that still doesn’t talk to itself,” said Kevin Nesgoda, founder and CEO of Solera. “You’re the one stitching it together with spreadsheets at midnight. We built Solera so a winemaker logs in once and the whole operation is right there: vineyard, cellar, lab, compliance, and DTC.”
A winemaker’s platform, built by a winemaker
Nesgoda’s family has made wine for more than 800 years, tracing back to the 1200s in Austria. He made his own first commercial vintage, an Albariño named Ruth’s Garden after his late grandmother, in 2021, and it won two silver medals and a gold. He made it while fracturing a cervical vertebra and herniating two discs in his neck, an injury that left him with significant nerve loss in his left arm and took four years of procedures and a major surgery to recover from. He built Solera after living through the same fragmented software stack he’s now replacing.
What Solera replaces
Solera covers eight core areas in one platform: vineyard operations, vintage and lab tracking, cellar and fermentation management, an AI assistant called Ask Solera (powered by Claude), data migration from legacy tools, sales and DTC storefront, custom crush client portals, and TTB compliance reporting.
Pricing starts at $69/mo (Pro tier), with a free Hobbyist tier for home winemakers and a Growth tier at $129/mo for mid-size operations. There are no transaction fees on any tier.
60-Day Harvest Ramp-Up Trial
To help wineries get fully onboarded ahead of harvest, Solera is offering a 60-Day Harvest Ramp-Up Trial, double the standard trial length, so new customers have time to migrate their data and train their team before crush.
