Within the board of directors of Famiglie Storiche – founded in 2009 and now comprising Allegrini, Begali, Bertani, Brigaldara, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Masi, Musella, Speri, Tedeschi, Tenuta Sant’Antonio, Tommasi, Torre D’Orti, and Zenato – Luca Speri succeeds Pierangelo Tommasi, who since 2022 has guided the association with commitment and vision through an important phase of its development, strengthening its identity and consolidating its presence both in Italy and internationally.

“I take on the presidency of Famiglie Storiche with pride, gratitude, and a strong sense of responsibility. I would like to thank Pierangelo Tommasi for the passion and dedication with which he has led the association over these years, helping to strengthen its identity and prestige. I would also like to thank all the members for the trust they have placed in me. I will work with a spirit of collaboration to ensure continuity in the association’s path, while seeking to highlight our history and that of our prestigious appellations, looking to the future with confidence,” said the newly appointed President.

Supporting him as Vice Presidents will be Maddalena Pasqua di Bisceglie of Musella and Franco Piona of Torre d’Orti, with Pierangelo Tommasi remaining on the board as past president and Armando Castagnedi of Tenuta Sant’Antonio as a board member.

“I would like to thank all the members and the board for their support, trust, and collaborative spirit throughout these years of shared work. Together, we have helped strengthen the role of Famiglie Storiche as a benchmark for the promotion of Amarone, supporting an important phase of evolution that has led this great wine to be increasingly recognized as a contemporary fine wine, capable of engaging with both the restaurant world and today’s consumers.

I leave the presidency with a sense of satisfaction and with the confidence that the new President will continue along this path with energy, vision, and passion, further enhancing the unique heritage we represent,” said the outgoing President as he handed over the role.

Antica Bottega del Vino, meanwhile, is the food and wine project owned by ten of the Famiglie Storiche member wineries (Allegrini, Begali, Brigaldara, Masi, Musella, Speri, Tedeschi, Tenuta Sant’Antonio, Tommasi, and Zenato). A landmark in Verona and an international point of reference for hospitality culture, it has gained worldwide recognition thanks to its outstanding wine list.

“Antica Bottega del Vino is far more than a restaurant: it is a symbolic place in Verona’s wine culture, a historic and human heritage that tells the story of our city, the value of hospitality, and the shared values of Famiglie Storiche. For me, having experienced the world of wine not only as a profession but as a genuine personal passion, taking on this role is a source of great pride and gratitude.

I take on this responsibility with respect for the work carried out so far and the results achieved, fully aware of what it means to lead such a unique institution. Together with the Famiglie Storiche partners, the board, the management, and the entire team, we will continue to work with enthusiasm to enhance Antica Bottega del Vino, preserving its identity, history, and spirit, while carefully guiding it toward new opportunities for growth,” commented the newly appointed President, Giacomo Boscaini.

The Bottega’s board will also include Vice Presidents Giordano Begali of Begali and Alberto Zenato of Zenato, while Sabrina Tedeschi of Tedeschi remains on the board as Past President. This is a team shaped by continuity, built on a history spanning centuries and on a project that over the years has successfully combined respect for tradition with the ability to evolve.

Thanks to the shared commitment of partners, board members, management, and staff, the Bottega has strengthened the success of its historic Verona venue and, at the end of 2025, celebrated the opening of its new location in Cortina d’Ampezzo, milestones that reflect the strength of a group that has grown over time without ever losing its identity.

“I would like to sincerely thank Sabrina for these years of working together,” said Luca Nicolis, Director of Antica Bottega del Vino“It has been an intense journey that has allowed us to grow together and achieve important milestones. Now the time has come to pass the baton, and I wish the new President and the new board every success in continuing this path of growth, while looking ahead with ambition to the opportunities to come.”

Outgoing President Sabrina Tedeschi, in turn, highlighted the importance of teamwork throughout her tenure: “I would like to thank Luca Nicolis, the Bottega team, the board, and the partners for the trust and support they have shown over these years. We have always worked with great enthusiasm and a shared sense of direction. The results we have achieved are the outcome of this positive spirit and our ability to work as a team, values that have guided, and will continue to guide, every step of our journey.”

With these new appointments, Famiglie Storiche and Antica Bottega del Vino reaffirm their commitment to promoting the cultural and winemaking heritage of Valpolicella, guided by a spirit of continuity and a shared vision. Two entities united by the ambition to champion the excellence of their territory, strengthening its role as a point of reference in the worlds of wine and hospitality, both in Italy and internationally.

About Antica Bottega del Vino
Founded in the 1500s during the Republic of Venice, Antica Bottega del Vino took on its current name in 1890 under the ownership of the Sterzi brothers, who established the warm and distinctive nineteenth century style that still defines the venue today. It soon became a key meeting place for the cultural life of the late nineteenth century, as well as a destination for wine lovers, hosting poets, musicians, writers, and artists such as Boccioni, alongside journalists who would gather there after their days in the newsroom.

In 1957, the restaurant was acquired by the Rizzo Grigolo family, who focused primarily on its dining offering until 1987, when Severino Barzan took over and later brought the Bottega’s model to New York together with his partner Giovanni Pascucci.
