May 5, 2026 (Treviso, Italy) — Set within the demanding slopes of the Valdobbiadene DOCG, where vines are cultivated exclusively by hand, Andreola has built its identity on a clear commitment to authenticity and territorial expression. In an environment shaped by steep terrain and demanding conditions, the winery’s objective is to produce wines that convey a precise sense of origin while safeguarding the traditions of Valdobbiadene through a contemporary approach to the terroir.
Heroic viticulture is not a concept but a daily practice for Andreola. The challenges imposed by hillside farming have naturally influenced both working methods and company values, reinforcing craftsmanship as a defining element of every bottle. For over a decade, the expression “Heroic in Valdobbiadene” has been closely linked to the Andreola name, encapsulating a philosophy deeply intertwined with the landscape from which the wines originate.
The winery was founded in 1984 by Nazzareno Pola and is now led by Stefano Pola. Over time, Andreola has evolved from a family-owned operation into a producer with a solid international presence, while remaining faithful to its core principles. Precision throughout the production process, respect for the terroir and a constant drive toward quality continue to guide the company’s development.
Andreola’s identity is further defined by its exclusive dedication to Valdobbiadene DOCG, an appellation characterised by steep slopes, a complex network of micro-zones and an enduring relationship with the Glera grape. A distinctive feature of the area is represented by the Rive, small, clearly defined sub-zones that highlight the nuances of individual sites. Today, Andreola offers the widest selection of Rive wines within the Valdobbiadene DOCG designation.
This strong territorial focus translates into a portfolio that balances tradition and innovation. Manual vineyard work is complemented by modern cellar practices designed to preserve freshness, elegance and varietal clarity, resulting in wines that are immediately accessible yet capable of expressing depth and complexity over time.
Andreola’s ongoing commitment to research and experimentation led in recent years to the creation of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti project. This initiative introduced new labels produced from high‑altitude vineyards in the Belluno Dolomites, extending the winery’s experience in heroic hillside viticulture to a mountain setting and exploring new expressive possibilities.
“In recent years,” explains Stefano Pola, “Andreola Valdobbiadene DOCG has strengthened its international presence, driven by growing interest in wines that clearly express their territory. Our objective is to consolidate existing relationships and create new opportunities, while continuing to promote the identity of Valdobbiadene DOCG.”
International markets now represent a strategic dimension of Andreola’s growth. Export activity is viewed not simply as a commercial objective, but as a natural extension of the winery’s identity. Continuous engagement with global audiences has strengthened market positioning, refined stylistic direction and contributed to raising international awareness of Valdobbiadene DOCG.
Andreola Winery – Company Profile
Located in the heart of the Valdobbiadene DOCG area, with 110 hectares of vineyards, 900,000 bottles sold in over 35 countries and over 40 years of history, Andreola has become a symbol of heroic viticulture in Valdobbiadene DOCG, producing wines that are literally “handmade,” reflecting a constant commitment to quality-driven research.
The winery stands out for its manual work in the vineyards, an essential practice on the steep hillsides of this region, where the harvest is marked by the presence of unique pulley systems used to transport the grapes. Andreola’s production focuses primarily on the Glera grape variety, alongside a small percentage of native vines found in older vineyards and includes a range of labels, among them the Rive Line, featuring the largest number of Rive in the Valdobbiadene DOCG category.
