From Mendocino to the Obama Center: What’s New at Fathers + Daughters Cellars

September 11, 2026 — There’s quite a bit new at Fathers + Daughters Cellars, the small-production Anderson Valley label rooted in family and inspired by the special bond between fathers and daughters. Founded after the birth of Guy Pacurar and Sarah Schoeneman’s daughter, Ella, the winery is a true multigenerational family endeavor, with much of its fruit sourced from acclaimed Ferrington Vineyard, owned by Sarah’s father, Kurt Schoeneman. And now, one of the most exciting chapters in the family’s story has taken their wines all the way from Mendocino County to Chicago.

Two Fathers + Daughters wines—the 2023 Ella’s Reserve Pinot Noir and 2023 Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc—were selected for the opening of the Obama Center and are currently being served at the Center’s restaurant, Tafari’s Kitchen.

For Pacurar, whose wines are rooted in family, place and the acclaimed Ferrington Vineyard in Anderson Valley, seeing Fathers + Daughters represented at such a significant new destination is especially meaningful.

“As a small, family-owned winery, it’s incredibly exciting to see our wines being poured at the Obama Center,” says Pacurar. “We’ve always believed that wine has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and to have Ella’s Reserve and our Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc included in this setting is something our family is tremendously proud of.”

There’s also a new way for wine lovers to become part of the Fathers + Daughters family. Launched in fall 2025, The Family Tree Wine Club offers two membership levels, both with fully customizable allocations:

  • The Wonder Years – Six bottles twice annually, 15% off current releases and one annual Tour and Tasting at the Top for two at Ferrington Vineyard
  • Dynasty – 12 bottles twice annually, 20% off current releases and two annual Tours and Tastings at the Top for two at Ferrington Vineyard

The private Tasting at the Top experiences take wine tasting directly to the source, transporting guests by ATV to a hilltop overlooking acclaimed Ferrington Vineyard and Anderson Valley. Limited to just four guests at a time, the intimate, one-of-a-kind experience pairs Fathers + Daughters wines with small bites and conversation about the people, place and process behind each bottle—all while tasting the wines on the very land where they began. In addition to being offered as a benefit of The Family Tree wine club, Tasting at the Top is available to book directly through the Fathers + Daughters Cellars website.
