March 9, 2026 (Seattle, WA) — WeatherEye Vineyards, a cult vineyard and winery in Washington, is pleased to announce a new distribution partnership with Grape Expectations. The distribution partnership will service Washington and Oregon, making WeatherEye wines available to a wider audience in the Pacific Northwest.
WeatherEye Vineyards is a site-driven project on the hillsides above the premier Red Mountain appellation. Veteran winegrower Ryan Johnson spent a full year studying the property’s soils and aspects before the first vines were planted in 2016. Over the last ten years, the vineyard’s 72 distinct blocks have been meticulously planted, totalling 40 acres on the 440-acre property. With 13 grape varieties grown, the vineyard is known for its many different training systems, including head-trained Grenache and Syrah grown en echalas, inspired by the vineyards in the Northern Rhône. An emphasis on clonal diversity, biodiversity, and site selection has led to its stellar reputation in Washington for world-class wines that are unmistakably WeatherEye.

WeatherEye Vineyards wines are limited production, and are available primarily to its mailing list outside of a few chosen retail and restaurant partners in Washington and Oregon through self-distribution. The partnership with Grape Expectations, an importer and distributor in California, Oregon, and Washington founded in 1975, will offer greater reach for WeatherEye both on-premise and off-premise.
“This is a big step forward for WeatherEye,” shared Cameron Myhrvold, founder and owner of WeatherEye Vineyards. “We’re happy to share these outstanding wines with a larger audience. Washington has been very supportive of this project, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come and the legacy we’re building.”
“We couldn’t be more excited about bringing on WeatherEye Vineyards,” said Jeff Miller, Managing Director of Grape Expectations. “We are so impressed with the portfolio and the vineyard itself, and are honored to share this story.”
Distribution through Grape Expectations will focus on a curated selection of wines from WeatherEye, beginning in March 2026 with the release of the 2022 Grenache, 2022 Mourvèdre, 2022 Syrah, and the 2023 white wines from the storied estate, including the estate Clairette, Marsanne, Roussane, and L’Atomique, a beguiling blend of all five white varieties grown at WeatherEye Vineyards. Many of the single varietal bottlings will still only be available to members.
In September, additional red wines will be released into distribution, including the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Tempranillo, and the 2022 Hillfighter, a blend of estate-grown grape varieties.
