December 9, 2025 (New York, NY) — The Historic Cellar of Jürgen Schwarz: Five Decades of Collecting, a two‑day live auction, took place at Christie’s Rockefeller Center on December 5 and 6. The sale comprised more than 800 lots and achieved $4,248,000, selling 98% by lot and 116% by low estimate.

Day I totaled $1,679,275. The top lot was six magnums of Château Lafleur 1982, which realized $81,250 against a low estimate of $48,000. Other highlights included a magnum of Château Lafite Rothschild 1874 and a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild 1806, both achieving $37,500, as well as a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild 1865, which sold for $30,000.
Day II achieved $2,569,612. The highest price of the day—and of the collection—came from 12 bottles of Henri Jayer, Vosne‑Romanée, Cros Parantoux 1999, which realized $175,000. Additional highlights include five bottles of Henri Jayer, Vosne‑Romanée, Les Beaux Monts 1978, which sold for $62,500 and a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild 1868 which sold for $52,500.
