(November 10, 2025, YOUNTVILLE, Calif.)—Rich Frank and John Hansen, owners of Bottega Napa Valley, are pleased to announce that Stephen Arnold has joined the team as Wine Director. In his role, Stephen will build upon Bottega’s well-established wine program, introducing guests to compelling wines crafted by iconic and boutique producers from around the world.

Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Stephen brings a deep passion for discovery and a thoughtful, guest-centered approach to wine curation fostered by years of industry experience. Most recently, he served as sommelier at PRESS, where he worked closely with the extensive collections of Napa Valley wines. Prior to this, Stephen held wine director and sommelier positions at notable establishments on the East Coast and in Los Angeles, including Ristorante Massimo in New Hampshire and Wally’s Wine & Spirits in Beverly Hills.
“I couldn’t be more excited to work alongside such an outstanding team,” says Arnold. “I’m looking forward to working with Rich and John to breathe new life into Bottega’s already bountiful wine cellar and expand both our domestic and international selections. The world of wine is such a vast and dynamic landscape, I thrive on sharing my passion and knowledge with guests.”
Stephen joins the ranks of Bottega’s seasoned leadership team, which includes Executive Chef Alex Espinoza, a Culinary Institute of America alum and Tra Vigne veteran and General Manager Edgar Antonio, a veteran of Michelin-starred restaurants including The Restaurant at Meadowood.
“Stephen is exactly the kind of talent we’ve been looking to bring into the fold here at Bottega,” says Frank. “We’re confident that he is going to bring our wine program to the next level and his expertise will only complement the magic that Chef Alex is creating in the kitchen.”
