The international wine guide, Star Wine List, is bringing its wine list competition to Denmark for the sixth time, and the esteemed jury has just announced its 48 finalists spanning the full breadth of the country. Gold Stars will be presented in Copenhagen on 24th November 2025.
November 3, 2025 (Stockholm, Sweden) — The 48 finalists in Star Wine List of the Year Denmark 2025 are spread right across the country, from the western Blåvand and Henne, over to Sønderborg, Aarhus and, of course, Copenhagen on the mainland, but also including venues on the easterly island of Bornholm and even one in Tórshavn, capital of the Faroe Islands.

The wine bars and restaurants selected include two former winners from previous years’ competitions, both juggernauts of Copenhagen’s gastronomic scene: three-Michelin-starred Geranium is up for six awards, while the two-star Alchemist is in the running for five.
Gold Stars will be awarded in one local and 10 international categories, with winners in the latter automatically gaining entry to the Star Wine List of the Year International Final in June 2026, the concluding event of a 16-point world tour.
These finalists were selected by a panel of highly experienced sommeliers, including Denmark’s own Kathrine Larsen-Robert MS, plus Stefan Neumann MS, Stephen Wong MW and Pascaline Lepeltier. Their winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in Copenhagen attended by teams from the shortlisted venues, commercial partners, judges and key media.
