Scholarships Made Possible through Virtual Auction Proceeds with Next Online Auction Set for September 15-20, 2025
August 21, 2025 (Paso Robles, CA) – The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance Foundation (PRWCAF) has awarded $18,000 in scholarships to 12 graduating seniors from three north San Luis Obispo County high schools — Paso Robles High School, Templeton High School, and Atascadero High School. These scholarships were made possible by proceeds from the annual Paso Robles Wine Country Virtual Auction.
The online auction offers wine enthusiasts a chance to take home a piece of Paso Robles Wine Country, while directly supporting local students and families pursue higher education. These scholarships help lessen financial barriers and open doors for students to achieve their academic and career paths . Over the past four years, the PRWCAF has gifted 55 scholarships totaling $118,000 to deserving students across the region.
Each student selected for a PRWCAF scholarship demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, and a strong commitment to their educational goals. The Foundation’s evaluation process considers GPA, extracurricular involvement, personal essays, letters of recommendation, and unique personal circumstances.
“As a small business owner and a parent, it’s especially meaningful to help local students take the next step in their education,” said Michelle Thacher, Board Member of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance and Owner of Thacher Winery. “These scholarships are one way the Paso wine community gives back, and it’s an investment to north county families and the future of our region.”

Highlights include an immersive evening at JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery complete with dinner at their MICHELIN-Starred restaurant, custom-designed sneakers by Sneaker Mechanic, a “Taste of Italy in Paso” with the Dusi family, and a sunset vineyard supper with Serial Wines. Additional exclusive lots will be revealed soon, ensuring something special for every wine lover.
