April 22, 2025 — On April 4, 2025, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation announced five workshops in May to share information and gather public input on the department’s work to establish a new Environmental Justice Advisory Committee (EJAC).

State Assembly Bill 652, signed into law in 2023, directed the department to create an EJAC, with the goal of providing prioritized recommendations to DPR on ways to integrate environmental justice considerations into department programs and decision making. A commitment to equity and environmental justice was included in the department’s 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.
At the EJAC workshops – four in person and one online – DPR will provide more information on the committee, answer questions and seek public feedback on draft committee documents. Contact EJACinfo@cdpr.ca.gov with any workshop questions.
For more information, see DPR’s website.
