7 New Episodes Explore Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, and Chicago
CHICAGO, IL — June 24, 2022 —Wine, food, and travel TV show V is for Vino, premiered its much anticipated 4th Season on June 24th. V is for Vino follows host and sommelier Vince Anter as he hits the road to explore wine regions and their people, history, culture, food, and wine topics. Episodes can be seen on visforvino.com, and also on YouTube and Roku (availability on Amazon Prime is also pending). This season will also debut in airports nationwide via ReachTV (America’s leading airport TV provider) at a later date.
In Season 4, the show focuses on the return to travel that so many around the world have been waiting for. 7 new episodes, 5 countries, and too many wines to count. From the value-driven wines of Portugal, to Provence rosés made in the sunny Mediterranean, to crisp Albariño’s in northwest Spain’s Celtic region, Vince explores new wines, food, and culture all across Europe. Vince also traverses the foggy hills of Piedmont in northwest Italy, explores the modern side of historic Bordeaux (France), and even learns about the consumer side of wine in Chicago.
“I’m ready,” says Vince. “I’m ready to get back to travel, joy, and laughter, and to experience new foods, people, and memories. Wine and travel make such a wonderful pairing, and this season tries to make up for the lost time of the last few years. We went full speed ahead back into adventure, and it’s truly our most ambitious season yet”.
SEASON 4 EPISODES:
EPISODE 1: “Travel Portugal” – release date 6/24/22
Vince takes a road trip through Portugal to explore one of the hottest countries in Europe for both wine and tourism! From the beach towns of the South, to the modern yet traditional capital of Lisbon, to the baroque churches of Braga, the scenery is stunning, the wines incredible, and the food fabulous. Most importantly, the people are welcoming and eager to share their history, culture, & wine!
EPISODE 2: “Rías Baixas” – release date 7/1/22
Rías Baixas, located in northwest Spain, produces one Vince’s favorite white wines, Albariño! You’ll be blown away by the geographical diversity of this region that includes lush Celtic forests and jagged cliffs, rivers, and sea ports sprinkled with fisheries that produce some of the best seafood on the planet…just perfect for pairing with crisp, salient Albariño.
EPISODE 3: “Provence” – release date 7/8/22
Vince is finally talking rosé! In Provence, the birthplace of the delicious pink wine, Vince travels through Mediterranean paradise to quaint seaside villages, across bright blue waters, and past fields of lavender to visit Domaines Ott*, arguably the greatest rosé producer in the world.
EPISODE 4: “Chicago” – release date 7/15/22
Vince visits his favorite US city, Chicago, to explore the consumer side of wine; how to order from a somm, how to buy wine in a store, and a bit of Prohibition history! Plus, Vince pairs wine with deep-dish pizza, a Chicago hot dog, and an Italian beef sandwich. He also visits his alma mater DePaul University, a classic steakhouse, and a trendy Mediterranean restaurant.
EPISODE 5: “Piedmont” – release date 7/22/22
In the rolling hills of northwest Italy, Vince explores Piedmont, the home of the world-famous wines Barolo and Barbaresco. He wanders the quaint hilltop towns surrounded by vines on all sides, eats his way through the region, and is welcomed into the family at Pio Cesare, one of the oldest and most iconic producers in the area.
EPISODE 6: “Bordeaux” – release date 7/29/22
Bordeaux, France is one of the most famous and historic wine regions in the world! But Vince sets out to look past Bordeaux’s traditional reputation and find the new modern producers who are innovating, trying new techniques, and making every style of wine imaginable; whites, reds, sparklers, rosés and sweet wines!
EPISODE 7: “Port” – release date 8/5/22
Port has been produced for centuries and is one of the world’s first non-perishable wines. Vince explores the history of Port as well as the landscape of the Douro Valley. He also learns why this unique wine is so versatile: it can be used in cocktails, drunk at casual weeknight gatherings, or saved for special occasions!
