Sunny with a Chance of Flowers to Compete in Final Round of WSWA’s Brand Battle Championship

Scheid Family WinesSALINAS, CA—September 8, 2021  –  Scheid Family Wines is excited to announce that Sunny with a Chance of Flowers will compete in the final round of the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Brand Battle championship on September 14th. Sunny’s zero sugar, 85-calories per glass, low alcohol wines will go head-to-head against the winners from all categories as they compete to be the overall Brand Battle champion.

Sunny with a Chance of Flowers won the 2021 virtual Brand Battle’s Low- & No-Alcohol category in July. Sunny’s focus on quality, better-for-you attributes, sustainability and precision in market outreach, combined with its message of optimism and positivity, led to Sunny’s  rise to the top. Since its launch in mid-2020, Sunny with a Chance of Flowers has gained distribution in 47 states and six countries, with over 7,000 store location placements. Sunny’s proprietary method for alcohol reduction preserves aroma, flavor and mouthfeel, allowing its wines to stand out in the growing “better for you” wine category.

The WSWA Brand Battle Tournament enables rising brands in the marketplace to showcase their innovations, product designs, brand stories and flavor profiles, which are evaluated by a panel of expert judges within the wholesale industry. During the competition, judges give valuable feedback on the emerging products, and Sunny with a Chance of Flowers was applauded by one panelist for being the “best better-for-you wine” they’ve tasted.
