Copper & Kings Releases Limited Edition 7.5-Year Barrel-Aged Absinthe

One batch, two barrels: Kings Bottle Club members will receive a 132.1-proof bottling in November, followed by a 146.2-proof bottling sold only at the Louisville distillery.

October 23, 2026 (Louisville, KY) — Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. is releasing a limited-edition absinthe aged seven and a half years in ex-brandy barrels. Barrel-aged absinthes typically spend months in wood, not years. True to its American brandy roots, it’s distilled from a brandy base.

“We make American brandy. A cellar like ours holds a few surprises, and this is one of them,” said Rob Bourdon, owner and CEO of Copper & Kings. “Seven and a half years in the brandy barrel made it something we had to share. We split it in two ways: one for our members, and one for anyone who comes to see us.”

  • Kings Bottle Club Absinthe, 132.1 proof, $100. A members-only add-on to the November club shipment, sealed in the black wax reserved for club releases. It will never be sold outside the club.

  • Distillery Exclusive Absinthe, 146.2 proof, $175. Sold only at Copper & Kings, 1121 E. Washington St.

The Kings Bottle Club is Copper & Kings’ quarterly membership, built around its archive of aged American brandies and rare cask finishes. Membership is $135 per quarter with a four-quarter commitment. New members can add absinthe to their first shipment while supplies last. Join at copperandkings.com/product/club-membership.
