October 12, 2026 (Santa Ynez, CA) — With the final grape clusters harvested and the cellar bustling as the newest vintage moves from fermentation to barrel, Grassini Family Vineyards is marking its milestone 20th vintage in Santa Barbara wine country.
What began as the Grassini family’s vision for a vineyard in Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara has grown into an estate known for small-production Bordeaux varietal wines, distinctive guest experiences, and deep ties to the local community. Over the past two decades, the family has witnessed Happy Canyon emerge as a recognized wine-growing region while expanding its own hospitality offerings to include a tasting room in downtown Santa Barbara and La Tarantella, a private villa overlooking the estate’s vineyards.
“For our family, reaching our 20th vintage is about so much more than the wine we have made,” said Katie Grassini, CEO of Grassini Family Vineyards. “It is an opportunity to reflect on the people who have grown alongside us and the community that has supported us throughout this journey. To commemorate the milestone, Grassini Family Vineyards will host Vent’Anni: Celebrating Our 20th Harvest on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their Santa Ynez estate. Set beside the estate’s vineyard pond, the afternoon will include live music, Santa Maria-style barbecue, and a special anniversary flight pairing library wines with current releases. Guests will have a rare opportunity to revisit selections from the winery’s history while honoring the people and community who have helped shape its first 20 vintages.
