Peters Prairie Vineyard, French Connection, and Rebecca Caroline join the region’s winery association

July 13, 2026 (Fredericksburg, TX) — Texas Hill Country Wineries (THCW) today announced the addition of three new member wineries: Peters Prairie Vineyard, French Connection, and Rebecca Caroline. The additions come as the association continues to see strong growth, with membership up 30% since 2019 and 165% since THCW began tracking growth in 2011.
Peters Prairie Vineyard becomes the first THCW member located in Mason County. The estate is a true 22-acre working vineyard planted in the Hickory Sands of Mason County, with 100% Texas wines crafted from Mediterranean varietals grown on-site. The winery’s approach starts in the vineyard, with a focus on sustainability, soil health, and responsible farming practices.
French Connection brings a partnership between the Calais and Patillo families to Texas Hill Country Wineries, with 100% Texas wines focused on Rhône varietals. French-born winemaker Ben Calais leads winemaking for the label, bringing an Old World perspective to Texas terroir.
Rebecca Caroline is the new traditional-method sparkling wine brand from William Chris Wine Company, dedicated to showcasing Texas-grown sparkling wine. Located in the historic Hye Post Office, the brand is named for the middle names of founders Chris and Katharine’s daughters, honoring family and the future of Texas wine. Winemaker Seth Urbanek crafts the 100% Texas sparkling wines.
The addition of these three wineries reflects the sustained growth of the Texas Hill Country wine region, underscoring the region’s rise as a serious wine destination.
“Each of these wineries brings something different to the Hill Country, from Peters Prairie opening up Mason County to Rebecca Caroline focusing on Texas sparkling wine to French Connection’s old world philosophies, and that variety is exactly what’s driving our growth,” said January Wiese, Texas Hill Country Wineries. “Our members keep raising the bar, and it’s showing in the numbers.”
