July 14, 2026 — With the launch of the Discovery Zone, ProWein 2027, International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits, is expanding its exhibitor lineup to include a special a special format for vineyards and producers who want to bring new perspectives to the international world of wine. Applications are now open at https://www.prowein.com/discover_en for winemakers who have never exhibited at ProWein and wish to win over the international wine trade with distinctive wines, innovative concepts and a unique style. ProWein will take place from March 7 – 9, 2027 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The Discovery Zone will be the meeting point for international buyers, sommeliers, specialist retailers, importers and the media to selectively scout new producers, styles and developments. Whether this is Orange Wine, for example, regenerative viticulture, winemakers from other industry backgrounds or PiWi grape varieties – the Discovery Zone will provide exposure to the topics that move the industry today and will shape the world of wines tomorrow.
The exhibition concept will also reflect this idea. The Discovery Zone deliberately foregoes classic individual booths and instead will feature an open-plan tasting and networking area. The focus will be on personal interaction: producers will present a carefully curated selection of up to four wines and engage directly with an international audience of industry professionals.
The number of participants is limited. Once the application phase ended, ProWein, together with industry partners and experts, will select participants based on defined criteria. The deciding factors are not the size or reputation of a winery, but rather its connection to the Discovery Zone concept and its potential to bring new perspectives to the international wine world.
Requirements for participation include, among other things, first-time participation in ProWein, the vintner’s personal presence throughout the entire duration of the trade show, and the presentation of no more than four wines. The participation fee is EUR 2,000 and includes a complete package for a professional trade show presence – including an exhibition area with custom branding, complete furnishing, comprehensive services, organizational support as well as a basic listing in the exhibitor and product database, complete with flat-rate media contribution.
