A New, Curated Wine Collection that Simplifies France’s Iconic Wine Appellations for Elegant Enjoyment with Ease

From the Winemaking Team at L’Atelier Bertrand, Under the Guidance of Acclaimed Winemaker Gérard Bertrand

June 16, 2026 (Narbonne, France) — With more than 300 official appellations producing a vast array of styles from an extensive selection of grape varieties – let alone the individual estates and labels – French wine can be intimidating to the uninitiated. Arriving nationwide this month, French Flair ($15-$50 SRP) is a new, curated collection of French wines that offers an elegant solution: France’s iconic wine appellations presented in one collection, allowing the wine-curious consumer to explore the wines of France with confidence. Created by the winemaking team at L’Atelier Bertrand and overseen by France’s acclaimed winemaker, Gérard Bertrand, French Flair will launch with 2022- 2025 vintages (depending on appellation and/or style).

French Flair is a collection of wines developed to showcase French excellence across the country’s most celebrated appellations. The collection of 10 wines has been curated to reflect the best terroirs of France – Sancerre, Chablis, Burgundy, Languedoc, Bordeaux, Pouilly-Fumé, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape – with each wine showcasing a true and typical expression of its appellation. Under the winemaking guidance of Gérard Bertrand, one of France’s most acclaimed producers boasting 40 years of excellence, the wines are the result of direct sourcing and rigorous selection and purchasing, to ensure they meet the L’Atelier Bertrand seal of quality with every vintage.

Removing the intimidation factor that often leads to confusion and reticence, French Flair lays out an easy path to enjoy each appellation’s style with ease and confidence: the wines are each elegant and balanced – between heritage and modernity; value and quality; authentic (presenting tradition, sense of place and provenance) and accessible (discoverable and enjoyable instead of intimidating), and created by some of the wine world’s top talent – authorities in the complexity of French wine.

To further guide the wine-curious consumer, each of the 10 French Flair wines is identified by its appellation and vintage as well as its personality, serving as an intuitive entry point for each wine and style, complimented by three distinguishing adjectives to provide a clear way to anticipate the wine’s flavor profile:

  • Bourgogne (Chardonnay), 2024 – The Mineral – Crisp, Balanced, Graceful
  • Bourgogne (Pinot Noir), 2023 – The Mysterious – Elegant, Delicate, Complex
  • Chablis, 2024 – The Luminous – Sharp, Saline, Precise
  • Sancerre, 2025 – The Elegant – Crisp, Citrusy, Vibrant
  • Pouilly-Fumé, 2024 – The Harmonious – Fresh, Flinty, Refined
  • Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 2022 – The Generous – Robust, Spicy, Opulent
  • Bordeaux (Sauvignon Blanc), 2024 – The Charmer – Zesty, Breezy, Charming
  • Bordeaux (Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot), 2022 – The Classic – Structured, Plush, Powerful

French Style, Bottled

Throughout the French Flair collection, bottle, label and packaging design seeks to convey both tradition and innovation in an approachable, unpretentious style that combines sophisticated artistry, a classic French color palette and a helpful map of France with a whimsical arrow pointing to the specific appellation.

French Flair will be available nationwide at leading wine retailers beginning May 2026. For more information, visit www.gerard-bertrand.shop.
