Bouchaine Vineyards Adds New DTC Director to Its Leadership Team

David Eriksen

(June 15, 2026; Napa, Calif.)Bouchaine Vineyards is excited to welcome David Eriksen to the winery’s leadership team, where he will serve as Direct-to-Consumer Director. A seasoned hospitality professional with over two decades of experience, Eriksen brings an adventurous spirit, worldly perspective and deep passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Eriksen’s journey into fine wine and hospitality management began at Mirassou Winery, overseeing events and hospitality. From there, he continued to expand his knowledge of wine, food and culture as he travelled the world working as the Chief Sommelier for Princess Cruises, followed by a lengthy tenure managing service and beverage programs at the legendary Carmel Valley Ranch and Pebble Beach Resorts. His path eventually led him to Napa Valley, where he served as Vice President of Hospitality at HALL Family Wines in St. Helena. He later served as Estate Manager at Pine Ridge Vineyards under Crimson Wine Group before joining Bouchaine Vineyards.

“When I learned I would be joining the Bouchaine family and working alongside industry leaders like President and Winemaker Chris Kajani, it honestly felt surreal,” says Eriksen. “The Copelands, owners of Bouchaine, have created something truly magical here in Carneros — a place rooted in excellence, beauty and genuine hospitality. It’s an incredible honor to help carry that legacy forward and share it with every guest who walks through our doors.”

At Bouchaine, David will work closely with President and Winemaker Chris Kajani to expand the winery’s hospitality experiences. His role will encompass wine club innovation, private events, e-commerce communications and the continued evolution of Bouchaine’s celebrated hospitality programming.

“At Bouchaine, we’ve always believed wine should transport people — not just through flavor, but through feeling, memory and connection. David understands that kind of magic instinctively,” says owner, Tatiana Copeland. “He brings his heart to our hospitality, and we can’t wait to see the experiences he’ll help create at Bouchaine among the vines and rolling Carneros hills.”

David studied public relations at San Jose State University before earning an MBA in Wine Business from Sonoma State University. Beyond the winery, he remains deeply engaged in the Napa Valley community through the Napa Valley Hospitality Forum and his board service with Community Action Napa Valley, a local nonprofit organization.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome David as we continue evolving Bouchaine’s deeply layered hospitality,” says Chris Kajani. “There’s always something exciting unfolding here — from our signature winery events to the new experiences we’re preparing to unveil alongside our wine cave completion. David’s creativity, warmth and expertise arrive at the perfect moment for Bouchaine.”

About Bouchaine Vineyards
Bouchaine was founded by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, and under their attentive stewardship, it has emerged as one of the Carneros AVA’s most respected producers of sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate is comprised of 104 acres, including a dramatic winery, stunning tasting room and state-of-the-art kitchen. The vineyards at Bouchaine are greatly influenced by the adjacent San Pablo Bay, where cool breezes and the daily influx of fog allow cool-climate varieties to shine. The location’s substantial daily temperature shifts also help to enhance the beautiful acidity in the fruit, resulting in wines with vivid energy and texture. Noted as the first “Fish Friendly Farming” certified vineyard in Napa Valley, the winery is also Napa Green land and winery certified.  If one sentence can encapsulate the energy of Bouchaine, it is the winery’s trademarked slogan, “Wine Makes You Happy™.”
