Summer According to Le Monde: Alma Pinot Bianco DOC Meets Ragogna Prosciutto Crudo

Le Monde celebrates summer through Alma, one of the winery’s “Icons,” an authentic expression of Friuli, paired with the 18-month-aged prosciutto crudo from F.lli Molinaro Prosciuttificio of Ragogna, a local excellence selected for its balance and delicacy. A combination that highlights identity, tradition, and local supply chains, also through the “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” brand.

June 4, 2026 — With its bright light, convivial outdoor moments, and desire for freshness and simplicity, summer becomes for Le Monde the perfect opportunity to celebrate the deep connection between wine, territory, and seasonality through one of the most representative labels in its “Icons” collection: Alma Pinot Bianco DOC. Born from the estate’s oldest vineyards, the “Icons” represent the purest expression of Le Monde style. These distinctive wines convey the character of the Friulian territory through structure and authenticity, reflecting a viticulture deeply rooted in its land of origin.

ALMA PINOT BIANCO DOC: AN ICON OF CHARACTER

Alma Pinot Bianco DOC perfectly embodies the spirit of the summer season thanks to its remarkable gastronomic versatility. Following a 12–24-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration and gentle pressing, the must undergoes fermentation at controlled temperatures. This slow fermentation process preserves the grape’s varietal aromas, which are essential for a wine with significant ageing potential, exceeding ten years.
In the glass, Alma displays a brilliant straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. The bouquet is intense and profound, featuring notes of ripe exotic fruit, white peach, and delicate mineral hints of flint. On the palate, it is velvety, savoury, and well-balanced, with a warm structure and long persistence, making it an ideal companion for delicate appetisers and refined-flavoured dishes.

THE PAIRING WITH RAGOGNA PROSCIUTTO CRUDO

It is precisely in this pursuit of harmony between territory and table that the pairing with the 18-month-aged young prosciutto crudo from Prosciuttificio Flli Molinaro of Ragogna was conceived. Selected by Le Monde’s winemaker Giovanni Ruzzene for its delicacy and perfect balance with Alma’s structure, the prosciutto complements the wine beautifully. The wine’s acidity and the sweetness developed during the ham’s ageing process allow the two products to blend seamlessly, creating a refined pairing that is ideal for summer conviviality. For more than forty years, the Molinaro brothers have preserved one of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s most authentic gastronomic traditions, producing prosciutto without preservatives or additives, following artisanal methods handed down through generations. The company’s location, between Mount Ragogna and the Tagliamento River, provides ideal conditions for natural ageing, thanks to the healthy air and particularly favourable climate.

THE “IO SONO FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA” BRAND

Le Monde and F.lli Molinaro Prosciuttificio are also united by the “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” brand, a recognition that represents much more than a certification: it is a tangible commitment to promoting local roots, supply chains, and regional identity. A symbol that tells the story of a territory shaped by work, culture, and traditions passed down through generations, bringing Friuli Venezia Giulia to the world through its finest products.
