Former Technical Director at Viñedos Familia Chadwick to lead winemaking and viticulture for family-owned collection of wineries in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley

June 1, 2026 (West Kelowna, BC) — Iconic Wineries of British Columbia is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Faulconer to the role of Vice President, Technical Director, overseeing winemaking and viticulture across its family-owned collection of wineries that include Mission Hill Family Estate, CheckMate Artisanal Winery, Martin’s Lane Winery, CedarCreek Estate Winery, Red Barn at Jagged Rock, Road 13 Vineyards and Liquidity Wines.
An accomplished winemaker and technical director, Emily recently served as Technical Director and Head Winemaker at Viñedos Familia Chadwick in Chile. In addition to her role as Technical Director, she oversaw the winemaking for all Icon wines, including Viñedo Chadwick and Seña, representing the estates in key global markets. Previously, she held roles as Head Winemaker at Viña Carmen, Chief Winemaker at Viña Arboleda, and winemaking and viticulturist roles at Viñedos de Alcohuaz, Viña Maquis, and Viña Viu Manent.

Faulconer holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Viticulture and Oenology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Winemaker Certification from the Asociación Nacional de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Chile, and a Diploma in Energy Efficiency Project Management from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María.

The appointment follows the news of Mission Hill Family Estate, Martin’s Lane Winery, and CheckMate Artisanal Winery expanding in international markets including in the United States in partnership with Dreyfus Ashby & Co., the United Kingdom and Hong Kong with Goedhuis Waddesdon, Japan with Cepage, Korea with Seoul Wine & Spirits and Sweden with Wine Affairs.
