Register for June 10 WAVEx webinar

May 20, 2026 (Seattle, WA) — The wine industry is invited to register for an upcoming webinar focused on the risk of sulfur phytotoxicity in vineyards on June 10, 2026, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Dr. Michelle Moyer, Viticulture Professor at Washington State University, will share results from trials assessing the risk of sulfur fungicide “burn” under high temperatures.
During the webinar, she will discuss the following:
- Does sulfur formulation matter?
- What is the role of spray adjuvants in the potential for phytotoxicity?
- Is temperature the sole environmental driver?
- The field conditions required for high incidence and severity of sulfur “burn” are not common in eastern Washington; are fears of phytotoxicity overstated?
Washington Advancements in Viticulture and Enology (WAVE) is the Washington State Wine Commission’s seminar and webinar series focused on wine research. WAVEx is the condensed, shorter webinar series. Washington State University is a co-sponsor of the WAVE and WAVEx events.
