May 11, 2026 (St. Helena, CA) — Engel & Völkers St. Helena | Napa Valley, April 17, 2026 – announced the formal launch of Benchland Wine Advisors, a specialized advisory and brokerage platform dedicated exclusively to vineyard, winery, and ranch real estate in Napa Valley, Sonoma, and beyond.
Mission – To set the standard for trusted, seasoned representation and strategic guidance in wine industry real estate – identifying the issues, knowing which expertise to deploy, and understanding the nuance of navigating complex circumstances where precision matters.
Vision – To be the first call for buyers and sellers navigating wine real estate – whether actively transacting or seeking informed counsel – and to develop enduring professional relationships built on trust, competency, and results.
A Powerful Track Record
Benchland’s founding team brings a combined record exceeding $1.1 billion in wine and agricultural real estate transactions, representing more than 25,000 acres sold across Napa and Sonoma. The platform currently holds more than $400 million in private, off-market listings, available exclusively to qualified buyers through a confidential, strategic process.
A Collaborative Model for a Complex Asset Class
Benchland was founded on a conviction that Napa and Sonoma’s most complex wine real estate assets demand more than individual expertise – they require a convergence of it. This platform unites specialists who have spent decades earning independent credibility among the region’s most discerning landowners, operators, and investors. Together, they bring a breadth of perspective that no single practitioner can replicate: from appraisal and agronomy to brand strategy, commercial finance, and on-the-ground community knowledge. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts – that?s the Benchland advantage.
“Each of us has spent decades building credibility in this market independently. Benchland is what becomes possible when you stop working in parallel and start working as one – for clients whose assets demand nothing less.” — Will Densberger, Co-Founder, Benchland Wine Advisors
Market Context
The global wine industry faces one of its most challenging environments in decades. Demand remains flat, grape and bulk wine supply is in surplus, and labor and farming costs continue to rise – leaving growers uncertain whether their fruit can be sold at any price, even in premier appellations. In this environment, vineyard and winery sellers require experienced guidance on strategy, valuation, and timing. For qualified buyers, it represents a rare, potentially once-in-a-generation opportunity to acquire and upgrade vineyard portfolios and wine brands.
