Kosmic Kitty Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc Win Gold at 2026 Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge

February 26, 2026 (Rolling Hills, CA) — Kosmic Kitty proudly announces that both its 2024 Kosmic Kitty Chardonnay and 2024 Kosmic Kitty Sauvignon Blanc have been awarded Gold Medals (91 Points each) at the highly respected 2026 Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge.

The Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge is recognized as one of the West Coast’s most competitive and professionally judged wine competitions, with wines evaluated through a rigorous blind-tasting process by panels comprised of master sommeliers, winemakers, respected wine journalists, educators, and senior industry professionals. Gold Medals are reserved for wines demonstrating superior balance, varietal purity, structure, and overall distinction.

The judges praised the 2024 Kosmic Kitty Chardonnay for its:

“Complex character, pronounced minerality, and bright citrus pith notes.”

The 2024 Kosmic Kitty Sauvignon Blanc was recognized as:

“Food friendly. Classic Sauvignon Blanc.”

These new Gold Medals add to an expanding list of national accolades across the Kosmic Kitty portfolio. The brand has earned multiple 90+ point scores, multiple “Best Buy” designations from Wine Enthusiast, along with recent 92-point ratings from Tasting Panel Magazine. The consistency of high critical recognition across varietals — including Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc — underscores Kosmic Kitty’s commitment to delivering serious wine quality at an accessible price point.

At a time when the wine industry is working to engage younger adult consumers, Kosmic Kitty represents a new generation of branding and winemaking — combining precision craftsmanship with bold, confident packaging that resonates strongly with Millennial and Gen Z wine drinkers entering the category.

Few emerging brands achieve this level of consistent Best Buy recognition so early in their growth cycle — a testament to disciplined sourcing, focused winemaking, and a clear brand vision.

“These awards reflect the exceptional work of our talented millennial winemaker, Meghan Daniels,” said Greg Popovich, Founder. “Meghan brings precision, energy, and a modern winemaking sensibility to Kosmic Kitty. She understands today’s consumer while honoring classic structure and balance — and these Gold Medals are proof of that craftsmanship.”

“This was the very first wine competition for our newly released Kosmic Kitty Chardonnay, and to nail a Gold Medal and 91 points right out of the gate is one heck of a start,” added Stephen Ross, National Sales Manager. “It gives our retail partners tremendous confidence as we expand distribution. The momentum behind this brand is very real.”

“Kosmic Kitty was created to bring energy, confidence, and serious wine quality together in one bottle,” said Adriana Popovich, Director of Social Media. “We set out to create a brand that speaks to a younger generation of wine consumers without sacrificing quality. Millennials and Gen Z buyers are looking for authenticity, approachability, and excellence in the glass — and earning multiple Best Buys and now dual Gold Medals proves that Kosmic Kitty delivers on all three.”

With dual Gold Medals at a prestigious national competition, multiple Best Buy recognitions, and expanding multi-state retail distribution, Kosmic Kitty continues its rapid ascent as one of California’s most exciting emerging wine brands — helping introduce a new generation of consumers to quality California wine.
