Barolo DOCG Ravera 2022: A New Cru in the Mosaic of Great Barolos from Poderi Luigi Einaudi

February 24, 2026 (Cuneo, Italy) — The heritage of the great Barolos from Poderi Luigi Einaudi is enriched by a prestigious new addition: Barolo DOCG Ravera 2022, an exceptionally elegant Cru from the municipality of Novello, in the heart of the Langhe.

Produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes from a single vineyard approximately 400 meters above sea level, with south and south-east exposure, the 2022 Barolo DOCG Ravera is grown on marl-clay and limestone soils (Marne di Sant’Agata), giving the wine a distinctive balance of structure, finesse, and longevity. The Ravera – Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva (MGA) – has long been recognized as one of the most distinguished sites for producing Barolos of great depth and tension.

Crafted in a very limited production of just a few thousand bottles, this Barolo is a jewel of refined elegance: a wine of authoritative body and majestic depth, harmoniously combining power and grace.

It displays brilliant garnet red. The aromatic profile is broad and exuberant, revealing notes of ripe red fruits, blood orange, chalky minerality, balsamic nuances of mint, and delicate hints of dried flowers and spices. On the palate, it is elegant, deep, and structured, supported by a crisp acidity that ensures momentum and longevity, and by subtle, noble tannins that are seamlessly integrated.

With the 2022 Barolo DOCG Ravera, Poderi Luigi Einaudi expands its collection of Crus, reaffirming a production philosophy focused on highlighting the finest qualities of the territory and crafting wines that express, with authenticity and precision, the identity of the Langhe.

A new chapter that integrates naturally into the winery’s history, in dialogue with the great Barolos already in the portfolio, further strengthening the bond between place, grape variety, and vision.
