February 23, 2026 (Rutherford, CA) — Bella Oaks, the storied Rutherford estate long revered for its single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, today announces the release of its inaugural 2024 Estate Sauvignon Blanc (203 cases, $130). Grown entirely on the Bella Oaks estate and crafted by Winemaker Nigel Kinsman, the debut bottling introduces a new articulation of this historic land and marks an important waypoint in the evolving narrative of one of Napa Valley’s most celebrated vineyards.
For proprietor Suzanne Deal Booth, the arrival of Sauvignon Blanc is both immediate and deeply intentional. While the wine speaks with vibrancy and clarity in the glass, its origins reflect a decade-long commitment to land stewardship, biodiversity, and patience. “This wine represents a moment when the vineyard was ready,” says Deal Booth. “It’s a reflection of listening carefully to the land and allowing it to guide what comes next.”
The decision to plant Sauvignon Blanc at Bella Oaks was deliberately deferred for more than ten years as the estate underwent extensive vineyard revitalization and replanting. In 2021, when conditions aligned, a single acre was planted to two distinct Sauvignon Blanc clones—Clone 1 and the Musqué clone—on the estate’s gravelly loam soils. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that offers freshness and energy alongside nuance and depth, shaped unmistakably by Bella Oaks’ famed terroir.
The 2024 vintage introduces a vibrant new voice within the Bella Oaks portfolio, expanding the estate’s expression beyond red Bordeaux varieties while remaining rooted in the same guiding principles of harmony, balance, and respect for place. As Deal Booth’s vision of a biodiverse, bountiful estate unfolds, Sauvignon Blanc emerges as a natural extension of Bella Oaks’ commitment to thoughtful farming and authentic expression.
