Sip, Savor, and Celebrate: Ouray Winter Wine Festival Returns on Valentine’s Day

January 9, 2026 (Ouray, CO) — Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s “Switzerland of America,” the Ouray Winter Wine Festival returns for its fourth year–this time on an extra-special date. For the first time, the festival coincides with Valentine’s Day, offering the perfect way to celebrate with your partner or gather a group of friends for an unforgettable mountain getaway. With President’s Day on Monday, February 16, attendees can turn the experience into a three-day weekend filled with wine, food, and alpine charm.

Set against the snow-capped San Juan Mountains, the festival invites guests to indulge in a curated showcase of seven wineries, one cider, and two distilleries, all hailing from Colorado’s Western Slope. Intimate and fireside, the atmosphere is designed as an immersive experience–guests can sip, savor, and connect directly with winemakers while enjoying cozy lounge seating throughout the historic Wright Opera House.

Beyond the glass, the festival elevates the experience with culinary pairings such as fresh oysters on the half shell, and interactive artisan offerings, including glassblowing demonstrations. The result is a multi-sensory celebration of Western Colorado’s finest flavors and craftsmanship.
