Banville Wine Merchants Celebrates Three Wines from National Portfolio Named to Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2025

November 19, 2025 (New York, NY) — Banville Wine Merchants is proud to announce that three wines from its portfolio have been named to Wine Spectator’s prestigious Top 100 Wines of 2025, an annual global ranking drawn from more than 10,200 wines reviewed in blind tastings and selected for quality, value, availability and overall excitement.

The following Banville portfolio wines appear on the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2025 list:

  • #61 – BiancaVigna Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut 2023
  • #62 – te Pā Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2024
  • #70 – Lunae “Etichetta Grigia” Vermentino Colli di Luni DOC 2023

Together, these selections highlight the breadth and depth of the Banville portfolio—from estate-grown Prosecco Superiore in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, to vibrant Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand’s Marlborough region, to coastal Vermentino from Liguria.

Wine Spectator’s Top 100 is one of the most closely watched benchmarks in our industry,” said Lia Tolaini-Banville, owner of Banville Wine Merchants. “To see three of our winery partners recognized on this list is incredibly meaningful. BiancaVigna, te Pā, and Lunae each represent a strong sense of place, thoughtful farming, and a commitment to quality. We are honored to represent these wines in the United States and to help connect them with the consumers, sommeliers and retailers who appreciate what they bring to the table.”

Each year, Wine Spectator’s editors select the Top 100 from thousands of blind-tasted wines based on four key criteria: overall quality (score), value (price), availability (production and U.S. import levels), and an “X-factor” that captures the story and excitement behind the wine. The Top 100 has been a signature feature of the magazine since 1988, serving as both a snapshot of the year in wine and a guide to producers that merit attention in the years ahead. The full 2025 Top 100 Most Exciting Wines list will appear in Wine Spectator’s December 31 issue, on newsstands in early December.
