October 3, 2025 (Arezzo, Italy)Oreno 2023 has been named Best Italian Red Wine, the iconic label from Tenuta Sette Ponti receiving the special award from Le Guide de L’Espresso 2026, curated by Luca Gardini.

Oreno 2023 also received the prestigious 110 cum laude, the highest rating awarded by the Guide, reserved for only seven wineries across Italy: “to wines representing the pinnacle of Italian winemaking, labels that combine identity, technique, and poetry – the highest expression of Italian craftsmanship in the world.”

Crowning an extraordinary year, Oreno 2023 was selected among the Top 100 Wines and Winemakers of Italy 2026 in Corriere della Sera’s guide curated by Luciano Ferraro and James Suckling.

This recognition joins that of Vigna dell’Impero, featured in the same guide among the ten historic Italian vineyards that preserve the country’s memory and identity.

Oreno 2023 also received Cinque Grappoli from Bibenda 2026 and Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso’s Vini d’Italia 2026 Guide, confirming its status as one of the most awarded and renowned labels in Italy.
As further proof of a path of constant excellence, Oreno 2023 was honored with La Stella Polare from Guida Veronelli 2026—a brand-new accolade for this edition—bestowed upon wines that represent the absolute pinnacle of quality and expressive winemaking artistry.

Moreover, Tenuta Sette Ponti was included among the 50 Top Wineries: Innovation and Sustainability by Food&Wine, celebrating the most cutting-edge and environmentally conscious producers in Italy’s wine scene.

These achievements bear witness to the unwavering quality and visionary spirit of the Moretti Cuseri family, ambassadors of a winemaking culture grounded in excellence, research, and a deep connection to the land.

In the heart of Valdarno di Sopra, Tenuta Sette Ponti tells the story of Tuscany through wines of great elegance and identity.

In particular, Oreno—named after the stream that flows through the estate—was born in 1999 from the idea of creating an elegant Bordeaux-style blend with a deeply Tuscan soul.

A wine that perfectly embodies the Moretti Cuseri philosophy: uniting territorial identity with international vision, while maintaining constant focus on quality and sustainability.

Alongside Oreno, the estate—named after the seven bridges over the Arno connecting Florence and Arezzo, and known for combining art, nature, and innovation—has given life to other expressions of the territory’s identity, such as Vigna dell’Impero, a pure Sangiovese from a historic 1935 vineyard, and Crognolo.

With the title of Best Italian Red Wine and the highest accolades from both Italian and international critics, Oreno confirms Tenuta Sette Ponti’s place among the great excellences of Italian wine, capable of expressing the most authentic Tuscany with a style that blends depth, elegance, and contemporary vision.
