Appointment: Friday, November 7, on the day dedicated to organic wines, with three award-winning labels recognized with The WineHunter Award.
October 29, 2025 (Scriò – Dolegna del Collio, Italy) — A new and significant milestone for La Ponca, which will take part in the Merano WineFestival, held from November 7 to 11.

Nestled on the slopes of the Collio hills, the estate will take center stage on Friday, November 7, during the TasteTerroir – bio&dynamica event, dedicated to the most innovative and sustainable expressions of the contemporary wine scene: 200 producers from around the world, featuring organic, biodynamic, natural, PIWI, orange, amphora-aged, underwater, and no-low wines.
In the prestigious setting of Kurhaus Merano, La Ponca will be present in Sala Sissi, table 174, showcasing three award-winning labels that embody the essence of the territory and the estate’s philosophy. Among them stands out the Malvasia 2022, winner of The WineHunter Award GOLD, from the Petris and Pacial crus, located between 200 and 260 meters above sea level on marl and sandstone soils of Eocene origin, the famous ponca, that gives the estate its name. A wine with a bright straw-yellow color and golden reflections, offering iodized and balsamic aromas and a rich, creamy palate balanced by a pleasant acidity that enhances its aromatic bouquet. Alongside Malvasia, the Friulano 2022 and Sauvignon 2022, both recipients of The WineHunter Award ROSSO, will also be available for tasting.
«Participating in the Merano WineFestival is a great source of pride for us – say Alex Maccan and his wife Marta –Being selected for the TasteTerroir – bio&dynamica format at our debut is an important recognition of our commitment to crafting wines that truly express the identity of a land devoted to fine white wines. Here, the cold currents descending from Mount Korada, the Bora winds from the east, and the constant ventilation create a perfect microclimate that allows us to farm according to organic principles. It is in this synergy between man and nature that the identity of our wines is born.»
This harmony between earth and sky is also reflected in the design of La Ponca’s labels, unveiled for the first time to the public at the Merano WineFestival. A collection inspired by the desire to unite two worlds that have always mirrored one another: the earth and the sky, human craftsmanship and the harmony of nature. The planispheres engraved by Albrecht Dürer, with their Renaissance vision of the universe, become symbols of an eternal dialogue between art, knowledge, and matter. Each label is an ideal map — a fragment of sky that accompanies the wine on its journey, from the vineyard rows to the table. The wine thus becomes a form of terrestrial astronomy, a way to read nature through the senses, with the same attentiveness with which Dürer contemplated the stars. Through this union of art and agriculture, form and substance, La Ponca celebrates the delicate yet perfect balance that connects humankind, the vineyard, and the sky, echoing the famous words of Luigi Veronelli: «Wine is the song of the earth toward the sky.»
