Presenting Collio’s Organic Wines at Key Industry Events
October 2, 2025 (Italy) — This October, Tenuta Stella, a certified organic winery from the highest hills of Collio in Friuli Venezia Giulia, will take part in a series of major trade events in the United States.
From October 5th to 11th, 2025, the estate’s enologist Erika Barbieri will represent the winery at tastings and presentations designed to introduce the winery’s native Friulian varieties-based wines and its sustainable, biodiversity-focused approach to wine professionals and media.
The program starts with Vinitaly.Usa Chicago on October 5th-6th, a key platform for Italian producers in the Midwest; followed by IEM “Simply Italian Great Wines U.S. Tour” in Los Angeles on October 7th.
Next, two appointments in New York City: the first one on October 8th, with the UniDoc FVG “Experience the Wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia” a walk-around tasting and seminar, and the second one on October 9, again with IEM “Simply Italian Great Wines U.S. Tour”.
The tour will conclude in Boston on October 10th-11th, with Erika supporting Tenuta Stella’s local importer in market activities and tastings.
“This US tour allows us to present our wines in different contexts and engage directly with trade and press,” says Erika Barbieri, enologist at Tenuta Stella. “It is an opportunity to show how Collio’s native varieties, combined with sustainable vineyard practices, result in wines that are both authentic and distinctive.”
Founded in 2009 in Scriò (Dolegna del Collio), Tenuta Stella is dedicated to native grapes such as Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia, and Friulano. The winery works under certified organic practices, avoids pesticides and chemical fertilizers, and has earned the DiversityArk certification for its biodiversity and sustainability projects. Its vineyards, rooted in Collio’s Ponca soils and influenced by Alpine and Adriatic breezes, produce wines noted for freshness, minerality, and longevity.
