Partnership enters year two with the addition of VARA’s Sparkling Brut and sustained impact through the Somos Unidos Foundation
September 15, 2025 (Albuquerque, NM) — VARA Winery & Distillery, an Albuquerque-based winery and craft distillery, is proud to announce an exciting expansion of its partnership with New Mexico United. Now in year two, the collaboration welcomes VARA as the official sparkling wine partner of New Mexico’s beloved professional soccer team, deepening a shared commitment to craft, community, and hometown pride.
As part of the expanded partnership, VARA’s Sparkling Brut joins its award-winning High Desert Gin, Estrella Blanca Rum, and Noche Negra Dark Rum in collaboration beverage offerings and branded experiences. The sparkling wine will be co-branded with a VARA and New Mexico United label, continuing the team’s tradition of celebrating local producers and authentic New Mexican craftsmanship. Additionally, one dollar from each bottle of VARA’s collaborative spirits and sparkling wine sold will benefit The Somos Unidos Foundation, the team’s nonprofit arm dedicated to creating positive outcomes for New Mexico’s youth through arts, sports, and community programs.

This announcement comes amid exciting momentum for both partners, as New Mexico United continues plans for a new stadium at Balloon Fiesta Park—steps away from one of VARA’s tasting rooms.
