Joining Shafer’s executive team are:
- Austin Luther, Vice President of Marketing
- Jessica Hague, Vice President of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)
- Jared Love, Vice President of Hospitality
- Matt Redford, Vice President of Finance

Leadership Team Biographies
Austin Luther – Vice President of Marketing
Austin Luther brings to Shafer more than 15 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, and brand leadership. He has a proven record of driving growth for both global companies and iconic Napa Valley destinations. Prior to joining Shafer, he spent eight years at Rancho Caymus Inn, serving as both General Manager and Sales & Marketing Director, where he helped establish the property as a premier boutique hospitality experience, earning a Michelin Key. He has also held senior marketing roles with UA Builders Group, MatchCraft, and Advance Digital (a division of Condé Nast).


Jessica Hague – Vice President of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)
With more than two decades of experience in the wine industry, Jessica Hague is a leader in developing and executing direct-to-consumer strategies that strengthen brand identity and elevate customer experiences. She previously served as Vice President of Consumer Sales & Marketing at Frog’s Leap Winery for six years and has held leadership roles in wine industry retail sales and marketing for 15 years prior. Her career reflects a consistent record of success in shaping strategic plans, building strong teams, and positioning brands for long-term success.
Jared Love – Vice President of Hospitality
Jared Love brings a deep understanding of the value of world-class service, hospitality, and connection. He brings more than a decade of leadership in fine dining and winery hospitality, including nearly ten years with the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, where he rose to Regional Director of Casual Restaurants, overseeing multiple acclaimed properties. A graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in hospitality and a certified sommelier, Jared brings both expertise and passion to creating extraordinary guest experiences at Shafer.


Matt Redford – Vice President of Finance
Since joining Shafer Vineyards in 2022, Matt Redford has advanced from Accounting Manager to Controller, and now Vice President of Finance—an expanded role that reflects his strong leadership and stewardship of Shafer’s financial health during a period of dynamic growth. Previously, he served as Accountant at Whitehall Lane Winery, where he developed a strong foundation in winery finance and accounting.
