August 18, 2025 (Napa Valley, CA) — Shafer Vineyards, one of Napa Valley’s most renowned historic wine estates, today announced a strategic national realignment of its wholesale business, partnering with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s), the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol.
As part of this realignment, Southern Glazer’s will represent Shafer Vineyards in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Founded in 1978, Shafer Vineyards has built a global reputation for producing some of Napa Valley’s most celebrated wines, including its signature Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon. The agreement with Southern Glazer’s will strengthen the winery’s ability to connect with fine wine enthusiasts and collectors across key U.S. markets.
