“Marna del Bacio” the New Gem by Andreola from the Valdobbiadene DOCG Hills

A Valdobbiadene DOCG born from heroic viticulture,
shaped by dramatic rock formations and steep, rugged slopes

June 17, 2025 — The “Marna del Bacio” Valdobbiadene DOCG Rive di San Pietro di Barbozza Extra Brut marks a significant milestone in Andreola’s legacy. This latest addition to Andreola’s prestigious range of Rive Valdobbiadene DOCG wines authentically embodies the essence of heroic viticulture. It is the perfect balance of terroir, altitude, exposure, and dedication.

The grapes are harvested from a small stretch of land known by the toponym “Bacio,” one of the most esteemed areas in San Pietro di Barbozza, located within the Valdobbiadene municipality. The soil, composed of calcareous marl and emerging Biancone rock, imparts a distinctive salinity to the wine. Meanwhile, the microclimate, characterized by significant temperature variations, enhances the aromatic finesse of the Glera grapes.

Harvested in 2024, “Marna del Bacio” originates from the heart of San Pietro di Barbozza, within a vineyard spanning approximately 2 hectares at an altitude of 300 to 350 meters, where slopes reach up to an 80% gradient. Here, the mother rock surfaces, shaping the land with calcareous marl and Biancone rock, elements responsible for the pronounced minerality and elegance of this Extra Brut. The high altitude and notable temperature variations intensify the Glera’s freshness, while the east-to-west solar exposure ensures optimal grape ripening. This unique balance of extreme conditions gives life to a Valdobbiadene DOCG with a distinctive personality, characterized by unique aromatic finesse and vibrant salinity that is reflected in every glass.

“Marna del Bacio” stands out for its crystalline, fine, and persistent perlage, accompanied by a pale yellow color with subtle greenish reflections. The bouquet offers delicate notes of white flowers and green apple, while the palate reveals a bold, complex, and elegant profile, where salinity is perfectly interwoven with freshness. Its creamy mousse enhances the refined structure of this Extra Brut, crafted using the Martinotti Method. Versatile and sophisticated, it is perfect for aperitifs and traditional dishes, harmonizing naturally with raw seafood, fried foods, and fresh cheeses.
