Located amidst Pope County’s stunning rolling glacial hills and offering some of the region’s most breathtaking lake views, Rolling Forks Vineyards has defied expectations, cultivating not only award-winning wines but also a vibrant community hub.
Five years ago, many might not have envisioned a thriving winery in Pope County. Yet, founders Joe and Melanie Cihlar, with their unwavering vision and tireless dedication, have transformed this picturesque landscape into a welcoming destination for all.
“It feels surreal to be celebrating five years,” reflects Melanie Cihlar. “When we first opened our doors, literally on the eve of a global pandemic, we knew we were embarking on an extraordinary journey. We’ve faced challenges that few new businesses could anticipate, from navigating a global health crisis, to managing a working crop farm and vineyards, all while raising three young boys. It’s been a true test of perseverance, but every hurdle has only strengthened our resolve and deepened our appreciation for this incredible community.”
Joe Cihlar adds, “Our goal was to have a place where everyone feels at home, enjoying exceptional wine with friends. We aimed to showcase our region’s beauty while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends sophistication with comfort. It’s rewarding to see people gather, share laughter, and create cherished memories here on our farm. - Thursday, June 26th: Kick off the festivities with the Lakeview Roll-in (4-8pm), featuring a special anniversary edition for motorcyclists and enthusiasts, accompanied by live music from Ben Stock (5-8pm).
- Friday, June 27th: Be among the first to experience a NEW WINE RELEASE! Explore unique treasures at the Local Artisan Vendor Fair (11am-6pm), showcasing talented local crafters and artists. Enjoy live music with Rhythm & Rhyme (5-8pm).
- Saturday, June 28th: The Local Artisan Vendor Fair (11am-6pm) continues. Capture fun memories at the Photo Booth Fun (all day). Witness a display of classic and modern machinery at the Tractor Show (all day), with prizes for the top three. Embark on an exciting Wine Scavenger Hunt (must finish by 5pm) for a chance to win exclusive wine prizes. Don’t miss the exclusive Tour & Tasting with Our Winemaker (4:00 PM). Enjoy live music with Charlie Roth (12-3pm) and Kyle Colby (5-8pm).
- Sunday, June 29th: Wrap up the weekend with Game-Day at the Winery (Time TBA), offering friendly competition and exciting prizes. The Tractor Show (all day) continues, and the celebration culminates with live music from Donny Brang (3-6pm).
