Healdsburg, CA, September 5, 2024 — Wine Industry Network (WIN) has created a web portal featuring stories and initiatives from wine industry promoters.
This page was created to showcase wine industry initiatives and campaigns that encourage the enjoyment of wine in social and cultural settings, emphasizing its role in enhancing well-being. The page also provides resources for industry stakeholders to educate consumers on the benefits of responsible wine consumption, aligning with contemporary health trends.
“The idea to create a place online where we could aggregate different ongoing initiatives geared to highlighting everything that makes wine special actually wasn’t ours. It came from Steve Fredricks, president at Turrentine Wine Brokerage,” says Wine Industry Network President George Christie. “But it was something we were happy to take on and a perfect role for Wine Industry Network to do our part to support these programs.”
Turrentine’s Fredericks adds, “Turning the narrative against wine around and promoting moderate consumption will not be solved by any single effort, but only by every one of us getting involved. The new WIN Campaigns and Initiatives Portal is a great resource to promote the actions of groups from around the world and for individuals to find ways to join in support.”
Located on WIN’s Wine Industry Advisor site, the Campaigns and Initiatives page will serve as a gathering place for voices and stories supporting the industry and its historic place in society. Upcoming content will include links to interviews with wine educators and proponents, missives from health experts, data from industry analysts and actionable items for the industry as a whole to use in promotion of safe and moderate consumption.
