The Vice Wine The Vice continues to craft the best of small-batch Napa Valley wines for everyday indulgence with the new vintages of “The House” Pinot Noir and “The House” Cabernet Sauvignon

Napa, CA – May 20, 2021The Vice Wine is pleased to announce two new wines, the Pinot Noir, “The House”, 2019 and the Cabernet Sauvignon, “The House”, 2019. Both wines are crafted to be “The House” wines, the best of small-batch luxury Napa Valley wines for everyday indulgence, made passionately with sustainable farming and winemaking practises. Both of these wines continue to be top sellers, and are available via TheViceWine.com and distributors nationwide.

Pinot Noir, “The House”, 2019 – Napa Valley ($25.00/750ml)

This 90 point (Wine Spectator, January 2021) “The House” Pinot Noir is complex and playful with notes of wild strawberries, rhubarb, pomegranate and black cherries aromas on the nose. The palate is silky smooth with lingering flavors of cranberry, ripe plum and spice. Expect flavors of earth, black tea and dried cherries to show up with age.

The grapes were grown on the foothills of Mount Veeder and Mayacamas mountain in Carneros, home of some of the best Pinot Noir in the world. The soil is volcanic and its farming is organic (Napa Green Certified Land). 3 distinctive parcels within the same 400 acres property. We still brag about how excellent the 2018 vintage was in Carneros, but 2019 may just steal the show as the vintage of the decade for Napa Pinot Noir.

The perfect wine to be enjoyed on its own, or with an array of culinary adventures. This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.

Cabernet Sauvignon, “The House”, 2019 – Napa Valley ($29.00/750ml)

“The House” cab captures all the elements that make Napa so special. Muscular and youthful, this batch drips with cassis, blackberry and plum fruit reduction at the core. Brambly grip slowly unwinds to reveal streaks of cacao, cedar and black cherry notes that extend through its long finish.

This wine is crafted with grapes from three vineyards:

-Calistoga: the most northern AVA of Napa Valley and often the warmest. Our vineyard has the highest diurnal temperature variation in Napa Valley (up to 50F) between day and night during the growing season. The daily temperature swing combined with the volcanic soil are responsible for the fruit concentration in this wine.

-Chiles Valley District: the most eastern AVA of Napa Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard reveals a lush and distinctive cherry and blackberry flavor with firm texture and tannins.

-Los Carneros: the most southern AVA of Napa Valley. Our hillside vineyard is on the edge of Mount Veeder with yearlong cool temperatures, which rarely exceed 80F. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes ripens last at this vineyard. The cool climate influence of San Pablo Bay gives ‘The House” Cab its vibrance and elegance.

This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, aged 18 months in French oak barrels, with an ABV of 14.6%.
