Tuesday afternoon nearly 200 people filled the Alexander Valley Ballroom at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel for the second annual Wine Industry Awards and WINnovation Awards.
The North Bay Business Journal and the Wine Industry Network came together last year to institute the Wine Industry and WINnovation Awards. “The North Coast deserves to have its own wine industry recognitions,” said Business Journal Publisher Brad Bollinger, and support for the idea has grown with reception attendance up 50% from last year.

“Here at WIN, we have the privilege of seeing the newest products and services on a regular basis and I’m continually impressed by the level of innovation,” said George Christie, Wine Industry Network President, who presented the WINnovation Awards.
Bollinger closed the reception by inviting the attendees to visit the North Coast Wine Industry Expo at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds on Thursday where 8 of the 14 award winners will be exhibiting along with 300 other wine industry suppliers.
