Among vineyards, the sea and Tuscan villages, Villa Caiarossa is now open for bookings, inviting guests to slow down and discover a hidden side of Tuscany, that of the Tuscan Coast, for a return to nature among sophisticated architecture and a biodynamic philosophy
October 15, 2026 (Riparbella, Italy) — Some places can only truly be understood when they become home, even if only for a few days. With the opening of bookings for Villa Caiarossa, the Riparbella estate is offering, for the first time, the opportunity to stay at the heart of the property and experience its most authentic atmosphere: accommodation becomes a fully immersive experience, where nature accompanies every moment of the day, from breakfast to exploring the vegetable garden, from wine tasting to relaxation.

Nestled among the vineyards and Mediterranean scrubland of the Tuscan Coast, the villa is an elegant private residence located in the heart of the estate, where everything encourages guests to slow down. The adjacent vegetable garden, the vineyards cultivated according to biodynamic principles – which view soil, plants and the environment as parts of a single balanced system – the peaceful atmosphere and the winery spaces designed according to Feng Shui principles all contribute to a hospitality concept that embraces nature with elegance and restraint. From the hills, the view stretches all the way to the Tyrrhenian Sea: here, a return to nature takes the form of sophisticated and refined well-being.
Terracotta floors, exposed wooden beams, natural-toned furnishings and large openings overlooking the landscape create a welcoming and luminous atmosphere, capable of conveying an immediate sense of well-being.
The property features spacious indoor and outdoor areas, as well as a charming Italian-style garden with a private swimming pool, surrounded by a vegetable garden, pine woods and shaded spaces, making it ideal for families or groups of friends.
From the windows and terraces, guests can enjoy views over the rows of the Podere Serra all’Olio vineyard, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which surround Caiarossa’s distinctive red winery, a symbol of the estate and now a defining feature of the Riparbella landscape.
More than simply a villa, Caiarossa offers an authentic immersion into the territory, where wine is an integral part of the stay. Guests can enrich their experience with private tastings in the villa’s wine cellar, guided visits to the vineyards and winery, dedicated wine discovery experiences and personalized services such as private chefs and tailor-made activities. Cultivated according to biodynamic farming principles, the estate produces wines that express the richness and diversity of this territory. Part of the Toscana Wine Architecture circuit, Caiarossa is a harmonious synthesis of nature, architectural research and wine culture, linked through a virtuous relationship with its French “sister estate,” Château Giscours, a winery in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux.
From the villa, guests can discover a more secluded side of Tuscany, that of the Etruscan Coast and its hinterland: the sea, historic villages, art cities and renowned wine landscapes unfold in a mosaic of places still far removed from the busiest tourist routes, where the region’s beauty reveals itself through a more relaxed pace and an intimate dimension.

In recent years, Riparbella has established itself as one of the emerging destinations for Tuscan wine, food and nature tourism. Surrounded by forests, vineyards and panoramic trails, the village preserves the authenticity sought by travelers looking for genuine experiences.
The opportunity to stay within the estate (for reservations: visit@caiarossa.com) now allows guests to discover all of this from a privileged perspective, at the heart of a place where nature, wine and hospitality coexist in harmony.
ABOUT CAIAROSSA
The energy of nature gathers strength and shelter near the medieval village of Riparbella, on the Tuscan Coast. Lush vegetation, fruit trees, olive groves, vegetables and aromatic plants together paint the colours, aromas and wonder of a unique landscape: the very place where Caiarossa was born. By day, a magical light created by the sun’s reflection on the distant sea; by night, a vast star‑studded sky. The sense of enchantment is profound, embracing the winery itself, red like the earth’s core, set on the south‑west slope of the hill. It was in 2004 that Eric Albada Jelgersma decided to acquire an estate in this special corner of Italy, bringing with him the experience he had developed over the years in Bordeaux with Château Giscours, the renowned winery in the Margaux appellation. Eric Albada fell in love with this small yet beautiful estate, nestled in the Mediterranean scrub on the western side of a hill overlooking the sea. Today, his children Dennis, Derk and Valérie continue in their father’s footsteps, pursuing ever greater precision in the production of the wines, in a deep connection with the rhythms of nature, which is why the estate has followed the principles of biodynamic agriculture since its inception, with the aim of enhancing the vitality and resilience of the soil. The wines of Caiarossa are unique: refined blends that emerge from a balance between experimentation and harmony. A sense of equilibrium that offers a virtuous interpretation of the territory, through a French lens.
