October 8, 2026 (Amity, OR) — Folly of Man, the new estate wine project from Willamette Valley winemakers Tracy and Aaron Kendall, announces a distribution partnership with True North Wine Merchants, expanding access to the winery’s limited-production wines to California.

This partnership marks an important step for Folly of Man as they release their second vintage and continue to introduce their wines to a carefully selected network of restaurants and wine retailers. True North Wine Merchants will help expand access to one of the country’s most important wine markets.
True North Wine Merchants is a boutique distribution company founded in 2016 by wine industry veterans Sara and Jonah Beer, and focuses on distinctive, quality-driven producers, a perfect fit for Folly of Man, whose limited-quantity wines are rooted in a deep connection to Oregon’s vineyards.
“We’re very intentional about the markets and accounts where Folly of Man is represented,” shares winemaker and co-owner Tracy Kendall. “True North understands the level of engagement required to build small-production brands in the market, and we’re excited to work with a team that understands the importance of intentional, estate made wines and the stories behind the people and places that make them.”
“We have admired these two winemakers individually for years and are so excited about their joint project,” said True North co-owner Sara Beer. “Folly of Man wines are expressive and vibrant, reflecting the singular place they’re from. This is a small, special brand that we’re honored to represent in California.”

Folly of Man launched with the 2023 vintage, released in early 2025. The wines are crafted from the couple’s meticulously farmed estate vineyard and two additional sites handpicked by the Kendalls for quality and resonance. The 2023 vintage totalled fewer than 300 cases of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Immediately garnering high scores and acclaim for the precise terroir-driven wines, the premier vintage sold out quickly. The 2024 Chardonnays were released in spring of this year, with the 2024 vintage Pinot Noir bottlings released this month. The wines reflect the Kendalls’ shared winemaking approach: restrained and thoughtful, allowing site, vintage, and fruit to drive the palate of the finished wine. Available in extremely limited allocations, the wines can now be found in top retailers and restaurants in California, and are offered first to the winery’s direct customer allocation list.
