Finalists Announced in Star Wine List of the Year Denmark 2026

The seventh edition of Star Wine List of the Year Denmark will take place in Copenhagen on 2nd November 2026. These are the 55 wine bars and restaurants now in the running for Gold Stars, as selected by an expert panel of international wine professionals.

October 8, 2026 (Stockholm, Sweden) — Star Wine List of the Year is an awards tour celebrating the best wine lists of the world. The fourth stop of the 2026/’27 season will be in Denmark, where Gold Stars will be awarded to the teams behind the country’s top wine lists, at Copenhagen’s Admiral Hotel.

Judges Doug Frost (Master Sommelier and Master of Wine), Stefan Neumann (Master Sommelier) and Kim Thygesen (sommelier; board member, Danish Sommelier Association) have assessed the submitted wine lists and selected 55 venues as finalists – they are located from Kruså to the Faroe Islands, and over to Bornholm, not forgetting the larger cities of Copenhagen, Aarhus and Sønderborg. The shortlist includes many of last year’s winners, and Michelin heavyweights Alchemist and Geranium.

Winners will each receive a Gold Star and those in the 10 ‘international’ categories will automatically progress to the Star Wine List of the Year Global Final, which will round out the tour at the end of the current awards season, in June 2027.

Please note that attendance at the awards ceremony is by invitation only. Please contact Krister Bengtsson to discuss press accreditation.
