California’s Longest Continuously Operating Winery Enhances Its Rare Destination Wedding Offering
October 6, 2026 (St. Helena, CA) — Beringer Vineyards, California’s longest continuously operating winery, today unveils a design partnership with renowned couture bridal designer Claire Pettibone to reimagine the bridal suite inside its historic, 19th century Rhine House mansion. Fusing the Rhine House’s Victorian architectural heritage with Pettibone’s signature romantic, vintage-inspired aesthetic, the new space creates an ethereal sanctuary crafted specifically for luxury wedding preparations.

As one of only five wineries in Napa Valley legally permitted to host weddings due to zoning regulations, Beringer Vineyards holds a uniquely coveted position in luxury wine country events. The transformed bridal suite elevates this rare offering, providing a tranquil, highly photogenic environment tailored specifically for pre-ceremony preparations and wedding portraits.
“Because fully permitted winery wedding venues are exceptionally rare in Napa Valley, we feel an immense responsibility to offer an extraordinary experience,” said Claire Wilkins, Director of Hospitality at Beringer Vineyards. “Partnering with Claire Pettibone allows us to honor the deep heritage of the Rhine House while providing our couples with a breathtaking, romantic space that feels like a natural extension of their wedding day story.”
Built in 1884, the Rhine House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features ornate stained-glass windows, hand-carved woodwork, and expansive stone verandas. Pettibone’s interior transformation honors this rich heritage by layering delicate botanical textiles, curated antique furnishings, and soft heirloom lighting, to create a deeply romantic setting. Echoing Pettibone’s Los Angeles flagship atelier and New York penthouse showroom, the suite features her signature castle mural canvas alongside a floral-themed chandelier, wall hooks, plush green seating, and botanical decor arranged by Pettibone herself.
The stained-glass window featured in the room depicts a harp surrounded by maroon, deep purple and cerulean flowers and served as an inspiration for the interior redesign. Crafted with the getting-ready experience in mind, the whimsical space is equipped with both gown and suit display mannequins in multiple sizes to beautifully highlight the couples’ looks prior to the ceremony. The suite transformation arrives just ahead of Bridal Market Week and coincides with the debut of Pettibone’s highly anticipated new bridal collection.
“Designing a space within such a storied historic landmark was an absolute dream,” said Claire Pettibone. “My collections draw inspiration from nature, art, and vintage romanticism. In reimagining Beringer’s Rhine House suite, I wanted to weave those elements into the environment, creating a serene, light-filled space where a couple feels enveloped in timeless beauty and a touch of whimsy. Those moments before the ceremony begins are so special, and I wanted the room to feel almost enchanted, setting a beautiful mood for everything that is about to unfold.”
The Claire Pettibone Bridal Suite at Beringer is now open for private tours and wedding bookings for the upcoming season.
